Agiorgitiko naturε BIO 2025

This Agiorgitiko comes from a single vineyard in the village of Ano Diakopto, situated at 715 meters altitude and facing north. The rocky, clay-rich soils and the cool climate ensure slow and healthy ripening of the grapes – resulting in crisp acidity and great character. Fermentation is spontaneous with wild yeasts, and only the free-run juice – the finest part of the must – is used. Classic red vinification at 24 °C, followed by natural malolactic fermentation and 5 months aging on fine lees. Unfiltered, unfined, and unoaked – an honest, pure wine. In the glass, it shows a deep red color with an intense nose of floral notes like violet and rose, alongside fruity aromas of cherry and a touch of blackberry. On the palate, it's velvety, relatively soft with a crisp acidity. A wine with both intensity and elegance.

Food pairing: Perfect with pizza, tomato-based pasta, grilled vegetables, a cheese & charcuterie board with cherry chutney, or all kinds of meat dishes.

Tip: Best served slightly chilled.

Tetramythos Winery

Tetramythos is a certified organic winery located in Aigialia on the northern coast of the Peloponnese – a region with a rich history of viticulture and winemaking dating back to antiquity. The geodiversity, altitudes between 650 and 1050 meters above sea level, steep slopes, the cool breezes from the Gulf of Corinth, and the complex limestone soils provide the perfect conditions for organic viticulture. These factors contribute to the freshness and high natural acidity of the wines, allowing the grapes to reach full ripeness while retaining their freshness and a unique mineral texture. The story of Tetramythos begins with the brothers Aris and Stathis Spanos, who were born and raised in the small village of Ano Diakopto, where the winery is now located. From a young age, they were immersed in the world of viticulture, olive cultivation, and winemaking. In 1999, they met Panagiotis Papagiannopoulos, a talented local oenologist and one of the country's most innovative winemakers, who has been the head winemaker at Tetramythos ever since. United by their shared passion, they began to pursue their dream of crafting expressive, handcrafted wines that reflect the rich history and unique terroir of their region. The result is a wonderful balance between tradition and modern elegance—honest wines that are approachable, refined, and full of character. Tetramythos offers two ranges of wines, both made from organically grown grapes and fermented with natural yeasts through spontaneous alcoholic fermentation.
