PUR Blanc VdF

After hand harvesting, Ugni Blanc and Carignan Blanc were pressed at 20°C. The grapes were then macerated for six weeks in the juice of the Carignan Blanc, with daily punch-downs. The wine was aged on its full lees in egg-shaped tanks, without racking and without the addition of sulphites. Golden yellow in colour. The nose reveals aromas of lightly caramelised nuts, thyme, lavender, and jasmine, complemented by delicate hay notes. Layers of quince, ripe pear, apple skin, and a hint of orange add depth and complexity. Dense, mature, creamy, and slightly tannic, with a subtle cool freshness. On the palate, the wine is juicy and full-bodied, with a balanced tannic structure from the extended maceration. Its precise acidity brings freshness, highlighting notes of green and yellow apples as well as citrus. A saline minerality and a firm structure lead to a dry, clean finish with a lingering salty character.

Food Pairing: A versatile partner for dishes such as paprika quiche, roasted pork loin with apricots and quince, seafood, or fresh fish ceviche.

Château Revelette

In 1984, Peter Fischers, a newly qualified oenologist, found employment in Provence. A year later, he discovered Château Revelette! North of Aix-en-Provence, his 30 hectares of vineyards stretch across the landscape, sheltered by the Montagne Saint-Victoire, at altitudes between 330 and 400 meters, surrounded by extensive forests. Here, a climate of contrasts prevails, presenting winemakers with both risks and the potential for great purity and vibrancy in their wines. Since 1998, the vineyards have been cultivated organically and now also biodynamically, with Peter cultivating eleven different grape varieties. The grapes are harvested precisely at their optimal ripeness and vinified without any additives (except for a small amount of sulfites). He masterfully shapes the differentiation and development of his wines. The Château's wines embody the AOP with refreshing finesse. The PUR range, produced without added sulfur, brings Ugni Blanc and Grenache Noir to life in the glass. Grand Blanc and Grand Rouge, two captivating cuvées, are among the most outstanding wines of Provence and possess excellent aging potential.
