PUR Blanc VdF
After hand-harvesting, the Ugni Blanc and Carignan Blanc grapes were pressed at 20°C and crushed. The grapes then macerated for four weeks in the Ugni Blanc juice with daily punch-downs. Aging took place on the lees in egg-shaped tanks, without racking and without the addition of sulfites. In the glass, it is golden yellow. The nose offers aromas of lightly caramelized nuts, thyme, lavender, and jasmine, accompanied by notes of hay. Fruit aromas of quince, ripe pears, apples with peel, and a hint of orange emerge. Dense, ripe, creamy, and slightly tart with a subtly cool note. On the palate, it is juicy and mouth-filling with well-balanced tannins thanks to the extended maceration. Fresh and precise acidity, characterized by green and yellow apples and lemon. Salty and taut with a dry, clean character and a saline finish.
Food suggestion : Paprika quiche, roast pork loin with apricots and quince from the oven
