Tenuta di Carleone Chianti Classico is a pure Sangiovese from organically farmed vineyards around Radda in Chianti, in the historic heart of the Chianti Classico area. The vines grow on poor limestone-clay soils at elevations up to about 700 meters, which means cool nights, marked diurnal range and a vibrant, crystalline acidity. Vinification is deliberately minimalistic: the wine ferments and ages in stainless steel and concrete, preserving the unadulterated character of grape and terroir.

In the glass, it shows a deep ruby colour, while the nose is marked by fresh red fruits such as redcurrant and cherry, joined by hints of orange peel, a touch of underbrush and a whisper of liquorice. On the palate, this Chianti Classico is juicy, transparent and direct, with lively acidity, fine-grained tannins and a savoury, herbal edge that is so typical of Radda. It combines drinkability with structure, making it both an easy-going everyday red and a serious food partner.

This Chianti Classico pairs beautifully with classic Tuscan dishes: pasta with ragù, grilled or braised meats, salsiccia, aged Pecorino or a rustic antipasti platter. With its clarity, energy and elegance, it shows Sangiovese in a pure, unadorned form – Radda without Chianti clichés.
