Greece - Macedonia - Amyndeo

Domaine Karanika

Domaine Karanika was founded by Laurens M. Hartman-Karanika and his wife Annette van Kampen, who realized their dream in Amyndeo, Greece. Trained as winemakers and oenologists in Europe and the USA, they consciously chose the indigenous Xinomavro grape variety and a sustainable, natural approach. In the vineyard, they are assisted by Fanouris, the horse – a symbol of the connection between tradition and sustainability. Behind the wines is a dedicated, close-knit team who passionately create elegant, crystal-clear sparkling wines with character and soul.

Pella - Macedonia - Greece

Domaine Ligas

Domaine Ligas, a small family winery in Greece, has operated according to the principles of biodynamic viticulture and permaculture since its founding. With a genuine interest in Greek grape varieties, nature, and its richness and diversity, Thomas Ligas instinctively developed his own sustainable farming model that fosters harmony between soil, vines, animals, and people. This philosophy has been embraced by his children, Meli and Jason Ligas – both winemakers with profound knowledge, passion, and respect for nature. Today, Melissanthi Ligas runs the winery in the second generation, combining traditional methods with modern interpretations. Drawing on her family's experience and her oenological studies in France, Meli Ligas forges her own path. Open to new discoveries of local grape varieties, she listens to the precise moment of harvest and experiments with different vessels – amphorae, wooden barrels, or stainless steel – always in search of the authentic expression of the terroir. Every natural wine from Domaine Ligas has its own character – but they are all created with the same goal: to preserve the balance between nature and man and to bring the original taste of Greece to life in the glass.

Greece - Peloponnese - Ano Diakopto

Tetramythos Winery

Tetramythos is a certified organic winery located in Aigialia on the northern coast of the Peloponnese – a region with a rich history of viticulture and winemaking dating back to antiquity. The geodiversity, altitudes between 650 and 1050 meters above sea level, steep slopes, the cool breezes from the Gulf of Corinth, and the complex limestone soils provide the perfect conditions for organic viticulture. These factors contribute to the freshness and high natural acidity of the wines, allowing the grapes to reach full ripeness while retaining their freshness and a unique mineral texture. The story of Tetramythos begins with the brothers Aris and Stathis Spanos, who were born and raised in the small village of Ano Diakopto, where the winery is now located. From a young age, they were immersed in the world of viticulture, olive cultivation, and winemaking. In 1999, they met Panagiotis Papagiannopoulos, a talented local oenologist and one of the country's most innovative winemakers, who has been the head winemaker at Tetramythos ever since. United by their shared passion, they began to pursue their dream of crafting expressive, handcrafted wines that reflect the rich history and unique terroir of their region. The result is a wonderful balance between tradition and modern elegance—honest wines that are approachable, refined, and full of character. Tetramythos offers two ranges of wines, both made from organically grown grapes and fermented with natural yeasts through spontaneous alcoholic fermentation.

Nemea, Greece

Athanasiou Winery

In the heart of the renowned Nemea wine region in the Peloponnese lies the Athanasiou winery, a traditional estate with roots dating back to 1855. From half a hectare of vineyards, a modern winery has developed over generations, now synonymous with authentic Greek wine of the highest quality. The certified organic Agiorgitiko vineyards thrive on the sun-drenched slopes of Nemea. Warm days and cool nights ensure perfectly ripened, aromatic grapes. The harvest is meticulously carried out by hand to guarantee the highest quality. In the cellar, winemaker Michael Athanasiou employs modern vinification techniques to fully express the character of Agiorgitiko: intense aromas of cherries and plums, subtle spice, and velvety tannins. The result is elegant, approachable PDO Nemea red wines. In addition to the reds, Athanasiou produces a fresh, mineral Assyrtiko and an aromatic Moschofilero from the cool highlands of Arcadia – perfect for lovers of Greek white wine. Each bottle is an expression of the long family tradition and the unique terroir of Nemea – a piece of Greece for connoisseurs who appreciate authentic organic wines from the Peloponnese.
