Weingut Ch. W. Bernhard Riesling Auslese 2018
Weingut Ch. W. Bernhard
The vineyards of the Ch.W. Bernhard winery in Frei-Laubersheim are among the best locations in western Rheinhessen on the southern edge of the Nahe region. The Romans grew figs, almonds, chestnuts and, above all, wine here 1800 years ago. The people at Weingut Bernhard also make use of the mild, sunny and low-rainfall climate and the biodiversity of the soils and combine both with their knowledge and many years of experience in winegrowing. Thanks to this terroir and dedicated care in the cellar, they produce wines and sparkling wines of excellent quality. Year after year, Hartmut and Petra Bernhard manage to produce wines and sparkling wines with great harmony and clear structure. Let them guide you through the winery. And get to know the plants from the well-known wine villages of Frei-Laubersheim, Hackenheim and Volxheim.
Riesling Selection 2018
On the nose, aromas of ripe nectarines, pears, pineapple and candied orange peel and flowers. Followed by aromas of ginger and beeswax. On the palate, a hint of petrol and vegetable notes. Sweet wine but with great acidity. That's what acrobatics means. The perfect accompaniment to dessert.
Food recommendation
Cheesecake with spicy apple compote, vanilla ice cream with hot wine syrup, Ekmek Kadayifi.
