Vidiano 2021 ORGANIC
Only two wineries on Crete produce a Natural Vidiano. One of them is that of Nikos Zoumberakis in collaboration with the Greek natural wine team at Oenos Nature. He bundles all the power of the rare, Cretan grape variety into a full-bodied, creamy, extremely complex, hedonistic wine in just 1,200 rare bottles. The vines are grown at an altitude of 650 meters near the village of Kali Sikia. Vineyard work and pressing are strictly organic. The must is fermented with natural yeasts, the oenological interventions are minimal and the wine is unfined and unfiltered. In the glass it is deep lemon yellow, slightly cloudy with golden yellow reflections. A rich, aromatic bouquet of stone fruit and citrus with apricots, candied oranges, juicy peaches and a hint of nuts. Rich body with a creamy texture and balanced acidity. Long finish, very pleasant and with a dry and nutty aftertaste.
