The Lost Lake.. Memories of a lake filled with water. In winter the water level rose and drowned the crops. In the summer it turned into a swamp area. Hunting and fishing in the lake area were the only alternatives. Livelihood was difficult and people were poor. To make matters worse, malaria was also flourishing. They were bad times.

Gentle Beast 02
The idea behind the Gentle Beast was born by grandma Stella. Instead of sugar, wild strawberries were used in this recipe. These gave the drink a natural sweetness and was reminiscent of caramelized fruit. People wanted more and more after this taste. This is the first pomace brandy with strawberries and was bottled directly from the oak barrel. No additives and not filtered.
But why Gentle Beast?
Although the alcohol seems very high (beast), this drink is extremely soft (gentle). Balanced aromas of ripe red fruits and notes of oak barrels, strawberries and sour cherries. Very balanced bouquet opens into an explosion in the mouth. The aftertaste is extremely long and underlines the aromas of the forest fruits.
Serve neat like brandy in a flat glass or ice cold in a long drink glass with a slice of lime and with salty or sweet snacks.
