Tetramythos Winery
The brothers Aristos and Stathis Spanos grew up in the region and have been involved in viticulture and wine production since their childhood. In 1999 they met Panagiotis Papagiannopoulos, a local oenologist, and that same year the first bottles of Tetramythos were launched. In the following years, new vines were planted and in 2003 the production of the first bottles of wine began. Tetramythos is a boutique winery on the Peloponnese, in Kalavryta and the vineyards are located between 600 and 1050 m above sea level. From the beginning, the vineyards have been cultivated organically and partly biodynamically. Panajotis the winemaker is one of the most talented and innovative winemakers in Greece. For years they have been experimenting a lot, especially with natural wine. The result is simply overwhelming. Everything is vinified in a stable and clean way. You can tell the tension, depth and character of the wines. Nothing here seems artificial or embellished. The retsina from the amphora in particular is a big statement!
Agiorgitiko 2022 ORGANIC
Wine from private vineyards in a vineyard at 715 m altitude. Mainly rocky soil and northern orientation, which gives it a cool character. Intense nose with floral elements such as violet and rose, but also fruity ones of cherry and some blackberry, combining both fresh and ripe elements. Velvety and relatively soft on the palate with crisp acidity. A wine with intensity and elegance.
